You may recognize Leanne Ford from her HGTV show Restored by the Fords and her work in pretty much every major design and lifestyle publication. She’s a super talented designer (um have you seen her daughter’s unexpected nursery design?!) and designs almost solely in neutral palettes with a heavy focus on layers and textures. Bottom line: her work is unbelievably inspiring.
She launched a collaboration with Crate & Barrel earlier this year and the new line just launched. Jaw drop. It includes her first ever tabletop collection, as well as the coolest kids and nursery items I’ve seen in a long time. The line is full of curved details, earthy textures, and whimsical shapes. Contemporary but grounded in classic designs, with many pieces hand-finished and hand-painted by makers around the world.
Below are some of my current favorites from both the original collection and this latest release…
/ An arched canopy bed that I just sent to my client for her daughter’s room! Think fairy lights and faux florals.
/ I may or may not have purchased this artisanal bowl…not for the kitchen but for the living room built-in I’m about to restyle 🙌🏻.
/ Leanne hand-drew this freeform heart and turned it into a mirror. Love.
/ Desks are sold out left + right but this one can double as a console when not in use.
/ All about this massive mixing bowl that’s hand painted.
/ I am completely smitten with this woven piece of art, and it’s kinda inspiring me to make a similar one.
/ These versatile baskets are perfect for displaying dried florals or for corralling items such as blankets or even toys!
/ A classic farmhouse-inspired napkin…with a slightly modern update.
/ This wide arched bookcase could work in pretty much any room, even a kitchen to showcase everyday and special items.
/ How sweet is this mushroom-shaped lamp? The matte finish and terracotta-ish color adds a contemporary twist.
/ The curved design of this dresser is softened with cane detailing.
/ This swivel glider looks SOOOOO cozy with its boucle fabric.
/ Ombré done oh so right in this jute rug.
/ The grown-up version of the arched canopy bed featuring an upholstered headboard and a sleek black finish.
/ A smaller sized arched bookcase, this time in a beautiful light oak color.
/ Max is only 4 years old but I think often about how I’d design her nursery now. This crib would certainly be a part of it!
/ I love that this floor length mirror is a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary. The black color makes it stand out no matter your aesthetic.
