A Spring Tablescape in Time for Easter

A SPRING TABLESCAPE IN TIME FOR EASTER / MSTARR DESIGN

This time last year I hosted an intimate spring entertaining event at Anthropologie. And I’m not sure I ever shared it on here but as I was cleaning out some stuff on my computer, I was reminded just how pretty the tablescape I put together was! With everyone at home this weekend for Easter, thought I’d share some images in the hopes they inspire you to create your own! Whether for Easter, Passover, or to simply elevate your everyday dining {we could use that right about now amirite?!}, this look can be easily executed.

You’ll need: dinner and salad plates {I mixed + matched two styles}, a cotton or linen napkin {ideally with some movement}, flatware, stemless wine or juice glasses, wood boards, ceramic or stoneware vases and candles, woven serving bowls, plus florals and greenery {options are limited these days of course so forage in your yard or use faux options. ‘Tis the season for blooming branches!}. Some of the items from Anthro I used last year aren’t available so I rounded up some substitutes {a few are at Target that you could include in a pick-up order!}.

Remember: the goal here is to achieve a very relaxed, organic and curated look. You want this to feel {and be!} effortless. and you can use what you have on hand! mix + match plate styles! It’s all about placement so play around a bit. I love stacking the salad plate off center on top of the dining plate. I love an unfolded napkin no matter where it’s placed. Keep the tablescape functional and beautiful with easy-to-grab bowls of berries or grapes and space for additional food platters.
