Lots of love for the blue in the entry and it’s deserved! 💙 Choosing @benjaminmoore Brewster Gray was the first decision I made, a versatile color that is both neutral & saturated, and one that works with the textured walls which won’t change until they’re smoothed out. It shifts from blue to blue/gray throughout the day depending on lighting and is a decision I’ve never regretted! #farmhousedialfano #mstarrdesign

I finished painting the trim in our entryway right before the holidays and well…that led me to revisit the idea of wallpapering the ceiling. It felt like the perfect moment to dive in, so I visited my friends at @calicocorners to check out their wallpaper selection.

It took a couple visits to my local Calico store, many swatches, and plenty of back-and-forth on whether to go bold/colorful/small-scale/big-scale before I finally settled on a design. The entry is a small but central pass-through space in our home. And since ceilings catch light differently than walls, it needed to be a very intentional selection. In the end, I chose the “Petal” wallpaper from Rifle Paper Co. in white & metallic gold! It’s a delicate fleur-de-lis style grid pattern, with just a hint of shine - perfect for adding a little sparkle that complements the footprint & L-shape of the ceiling.
